Jackets from the ANC Store
As I edited my last post, I logged on to the ANC site and I visited the ANC store. I love the jackets the organization is selling to its members and anyone else who is interested in them. Some of them are bright green and some of them are bright yellow. If I wore one of those jackets to work, I definitely would grab everyone's attention. The colors are loud and these jackets would definitely be the talk of the town. Each of these jackets cost somewhere around 1360 Rand. I would need to check what that is in American currency. It may be too high of a price and we all need to remember the excise taxes or foreign taxes that are added on to the price. I like my brown suede jacket I got for Christmas and this was found hanging at a consignment store. It is a very comfortable jacket and it won't make people turn around and stare at me when I come into the room. I don't make resolutions for the new year. I don't understand what all the excitement is all about. What is the point for staying up late to see a ball drop from the sky? Midnight is now way past my bedtime since I am one of those who get up early to go to work. Not that I will have to go to work on New Year's Day. It is just I am no longer used to staying up real late. What's up with all of these parties and getting drunk? Authorities will be waiting for all of you when they catch you drunk on your asses driving down the road, make you walk a straight line and take a breathing test through a hose. Once they can determine how drunk you are, your asses will go to the slammer and I, for one, will not have any sympathy for you. So there! Happy, happy rotten new year!

Rachel Vs. the JBS
Everyone needs to check out the JBS web site. The organization made a strong response to Rachel Maddow's charges toward the group. In defense of the JBS, they opposed the civil rights' groups and, at the same time, oppose the notorious Ku Klux Klan. They neither supported forced segregation or forced integration. The problem I have, concerning the JBS is over what it was like for African-Americans living in the Southeast part of the country during the days of Jim Crow. Opportunities denied, doors were shut, and the right to vote also denied, separate schools (not equal), separate water fountains, separate restrooms, restaurants barring blacks as customers, movie theaters serving the white customers first before they would for blacks, lynchings, etc. When it comes to this, no one sees the JBS as a freedom organization. It's freedom for some of us, but not for all. I only ask the reader to log on to the JBS site and read it for themselves. The group claims they stop the spread of the communist plot of those who wanted to create a "Negro Soviet Republic" during the 1930s. How could they have ever done that? JBS was founded in the late 1950s during the days of Sen. Joseph McCarthy. During the Great Depression, many Americans were interested in the ideas brought forth by Communist Party U.S.A.. Many other Americans also were interested in what was going in Germany and the brilliant ideas coming from Adolf Hitler! It must have been an uneasy time with no jobs and long, soup lines. Just like Rachel, I am way too young to remember any of that! What is the JBS all about? It is about information they pass out about how we are losing our liberties in the U.S. and if you read and believe it, you would join them and then, give them some money. They recruit new members and Rachel Maddow is their poster girl!

The Monkey Wrench the JBS Will Be at the C-PAC
Almost anybody can be known as a communist to the JBS. The Council of Foreign Relations and anybody who is a member, including those who may be speaking at the C-PAC; The Trilateral Commission; The U.N., Dwight D. Eisenhower back in the day; John Wayne also back in the day; any civil leader such as Martin Luther King, Jr.; former South African President Nelson Mandela; our American President Barack Obama; Al Gore; John Le Carre; Thomas Friedman; etc. Rachel Maddow made some good points the other night, explaining that back in the 1960s, JBS leaders believed that the civil rights movement wanted to establish a so-called "Negro Soviet Republic" in the southern part of the U.S. Where did they come up with that? The civil rights movement struggled for the rights of African-Americans to live freely in an integrated, mainstream society. It was the Nation of Islam who wanted a separate nation for blacks, but not one that is Marxist or Stalinist if that is what they are getting at. Having the JBS as a sponsor of C-PAC will undermine C-PAC. Today, the JBS does not go after the civil rights movement. Their beef is with the United Nations. They believe that the U.S. should throw in the towel when it comes to its membership within the organization. The U.S. should "get out of the U.N." and that "the U.N. should get out of the U.S." And unfortunately, there are many people who agree with this idea. The JBS sees the U.N. as an agency with an agenda to do away with sovereign nations and its boundaries, making the whole world into one big group of world Soviet, socialist republics. They call Nelson Mandela a communist because of his membership with the African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa. Hence, the ANC is a communist organization that has communicated with Joe Slovo, who actually was a member of the South African Communist Party (SACP). Just because Joe was must mean that Nelson is, too. And as we look at South Africa today, we find that it is still a democratic country with an integrated society. Universal health care is now offered there, unlike, here in the U.S.
So, it will be interesting how the C-PAC conference in 2010 will play out this year with all of these Birchers there, such as John McManus and William Jasper. It may give C-SPAN big ratings. Many Democrats may be watching it for entertainment purposes. This may be the GOP's Waterloo!

C-PAC invites the JBS
Well, I need to go to work in the morning, but I am not surprised that C-PAC has invited the John Birch Society to sponsor them. This will be the ultimate embarrassment for Mitt Romney and Gov. Pawlenty if the JBS sponsors this event. This is an organization who still calls civil rights' leaders communists. More on this later.

The Situation with Santa
Kids, I cannot seem to locate the home of Santa and Mrs. Claus there at the North Pole.
The reasons why are certain. Santa and Mrs. Claus recently had to apply for flood insurance for the home and the toy factory where the elves make the toys kids look forward to receiving on Christmas Day morning. I'm afraid it is under water since the ice caps have been melting because of global warming, something the Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, had charged Pres. Obama and other leaders of the industrialized world of causing, which is destroying our planet. Santa and Mrs. Claus no longer finds the North Pole to be a stable place to live and they find that they may have to move further south into Canada or into Greenland. The polar bears are finding less places to roam in the frozen tundra, that each year, is becoming much less frozen. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves included may have taken up residence somewhere else. It could be in Canada, Greenland, Lapland, or Russia. Anywhere where there is still cold, freezing weather and where there is land. Ice caps are melting, giving us much, more water and flooding in our rivers and islands in the Pacific Ocean are drowning into the ocean, affecting the lives of the peoples of Vanuatu, Palau, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Cook Islands, etc. Climate disaster, on top of continuing a wasted war in Afghanistan, are two of the things supporters of Obama did not support him for. I believe Santa and Mrs. Claus were in Copenhagen this week protesting in the streets outside of this "conference." So, kids, don't worry about what Santa will get you for Christmas. He is too concerned about what is happening to this world and if you get anything for Christmas, it will be from your folks and please, thank them for getting you something!

How Are Things Now?
How are things now at the ol' factory? Lots of overtime during the week and lots of Saturday work. I can't wait until Christmas. In the political scene, I have tuned myself out. I don't give a crap what the President in up to and I don't believe he should have accepted the Nobel Peace Prize; not when there is a surge of troops sent to Afghanistan. There will be no air show in my town in 2010 and it is over this surge sent over there in no man's land. It disgusts me to hear what from the pundits when they talk about Pres. Obama's itinerary. I just switch the channel and watch something more entertaining on TV or work on translating something from Spanish to Esperanto. I find this much more fulfilling. I can't stand to watch him no more than I can stand to watch Bush, the previous president. Health care reform is a joke and Obama's Campaign for America I receive via e-mail is now calling this "Health Insurance Reform." WTF?
The way it is without a public option makes a sweetheart deal for the insurance companies, and will cost more for Americans to have health insurance! Progressives should never vote for this bill!

Busy Time
With the Christmas season here, with me working overtime after I got my job back, and also me wanting to take on other projects like learning an international language invented by a man named Zamenhoff, I fail to write as often as I should, and when I don't, this blog is already controversial enough as it is. It is the kind that makes all the tea-baggers mad, including conservative listeners who listen to the Alan Colmes Show. I am finding out that I am just as fluent in Spanish as I am in English. I write to a Esperanto Yahoo! group in that uncommon language about where I can find an Esperanto-Spanish dictionary. Octavio Paz was a Mexican writer who has passed on. He wrote lots of poetry and wrote short stories in poetry. It would sound better to me if a poem of his was translated into Esperanto directly from Spanish, not English. In Spanish, his poems have rhythm and rhyme. When it is translated into English, the stuff don't rhyme and like Al Gore, it has no rhythm. Fellow bloggers from Babel and Yahoo! can see that when I send them a sample. My Esperanto is at a beginning stage, so if I think of something to put in Esperanto, unless I introduce myself in Esperanto, I draw a blank. This must be how it feels to be a non-English speaking student attending school for the first time in these United States. There's isolation, can read the language but can't understand it and to translate into his native tongue, he draws a blank, then the kids make fun of him and give the tea-bagger style of ridicule he doesn't deserve. Now, Esperanto was inverted to attempt to bridge the gap between different races, nationalities, and language groups. Each group speaks a different language, but do not understand each other and as a result of incomprehension, conflict arises. Esperanto was suppose to be this language all individuals learn that would slowly bridge the gap between these different peoples. This never took on very well and only 2 million people in the whole world speak Esperanto, but it does have a strong presence in the internet and there are Esperanto language web sites and publications.
It was to never, ever replace the native language of any country, but to bring some understanding between different peoples who don't speak each others' language.
Nowadays, it is broken American English that serves as the lingua franca of the world.
But, I can prove to people that in some parts of the world like Latin America, Spanish does pretty well as a lingua franca. English, Spanish, Arabic, French, and Chinese all are languages used by diplomats in the UN, but more of them use English, Spanish is growing in popularity, French is on its way out, Chinese is still spoken predominantly in China and Taiwan in spite of the fact that it is spoken by about 1.5 billion people, and Arabic is growing. But, English as the broken American kind seems to serve as the lingua franca of the world. In spite of that fact, Esperanto is also used as such in various parts of the world, too.

40,000: the number is 30,000
As President, I support him. But, when it comes to this war in Afghanistan, I am very cautious. Because we have seen this episode before. We also have seen with Russia when its troops were in that country. We read about Britain's involvement and how that failed. Even Alexander the Great went into this region and the Greek empire failed to overtake it and conquer it. We are not going to conquer or do some nation-building, which is good to know. But, where will we get the money to fund this and where is the money to help build infrastructure?
